AT&T Business selects first female CEO
Anne Chow, an employee for almost 30 years, is named to be the first female CEO of AT&T Business.
Chow is recognized to be one of the first Asian American officials of the company and now holds the highest position in AT&T Business.
In a statement released by AT&T Business, Chow “strove to ‘break the bamboo ceiling’ by succeeding in non-traditional roles that spanned direct and indirect sales, to operations, to P&L management.” Chow also created the AT&T Women of Business which generated 4,800 members across 27 countries and considered as“the company’s fastest growing employee network,” AT&T Business added.
With Chow’s new position, she will take the lead in serving almost 3 million business customers in more than 200 countries around the world.
On her twitter account, Chow expressed her gratitude to all who supported her.
“With breakthrough technologies like 5G, businesses around the world will be poised to transform and disrupt their own industries. I look forward to this journey with an incredible team of women and men,” Chow said in a statement released by ABC News.
Last year, Chow bagged a Stevie Award for Female Executive of the Year for serving the company as the recent president of national business.
