Asian Americans, Fastest Growing Minority in U.S. Becomes More Visible…(and a More Visible Target, Too)

Join us at the Museum of Public Relations’ first-ever “Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month” to explore the many issues impacting the fastest growing population in the U.S. today: the changing Asian American and Pacific Islander (APIs) demographic. During this discussion, we will explore identity; stereotypes; intersectionality; the Asian Model Minority Myth; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI); and changing API demographics in the U.S. Senior and younger API professionals—representing public relations, advertising, media, journalism and entertainment—will share their personal stories and discuss why DEI is critical for organizations who want to survive and thrive beyond the COVID-19 crisis.
