Mohori music ensembles were in existence in Cambodia before Angkorian times; and probably dated back to as early as the 9th century. Music played by the ensemble is gentle and fluid. The music is suitable for an entertainment in social and traditional events. Songs and lyrics of Mohori music normally depict the beauty and admiration of nature, and the confession of love.

Melissa Polinar: a soulful independent singer/songwriter based in North Texas. Melissa has played several venues all over Los Angeles and has completed residencies at The Hotel Cafe and Room5, to name a few.

On Friday, August 3, kick off our fifth annual Destination Asia festival with a formal ceremony, engaging performances, culinary delights, and a breathtaking Japanese lantern display.

This free performance uniting Gin-ei (a type of Asian poetry) with Japanese drum and traditional performing arts features a cast of more than 50 singers and dancers and is presented in honor of the Nippon Ginkenshibu Foundation’s 50th Anniversary.
