Ghost in the Shell 2 (AnimeChicago + Japanese Culture Center)

Join us in admiring the work of Mamoru Oshii with a day-long celebration and screening of his 2004 picture, GHOST IN THE SHELL 2: INNOCENCE. The afternoon begins with presentation by AnimeChicago.com at the Japanese Culture Center - 日本文化会館 in Lake View before moving to Logan Square for a screening party.

2:00 - 3:00 pm: Anime Lecture: Dream Worlds: The Works of Anime Director Mamoru Oshii at The Japanese Culture Center.

Post lecture: we invite you to venture to Logan Square for dinner at one of our neighboring restaurants. We recommend trying: The Harding Tavern, Saba Italian Bar + Kitchen, Cafe Con Leche, or The Old Plank 2700.

5:30 - 7:30 pm: Anime Happy Hour in the Logan Lounge: Imbibe in celebratory cocktails, or specialty non-alcoholic mix drinks. Van Paugam will be in the house DJing select works from the Ghost in the Shell OSTs for a cyberpunk atmosphere.

7:30 pm: GHOST IN THE SHELL 2: INNOCENCE screens.

All are welcome to return to the bar for an after party and another DJ'd set by Van Paugam.
