Featuring a panel of prominent Chicagoland Asian Americans, this program features (5) panelists who will speak upon their own personal experiences in non-traditional career paths, and fields that are not generally associated with Asian Americans. These careers include law enforcement, music, drama, the culinary arts, and politics.

The program will focus on the individual and personal stories of each of the speakers through a vibrant discussion and Q&A session where audience members will have the opportunity to further engage with guest speakers.

Moderated by 1871's own Vanessa Yeh (Manager, Brand Experience), panelists of this program include:

Stephen Chung - Commander, 9th District, Chicago Police Department

Theresa Mah – Illinois State Representative, 2nd District, Illinois House of Representatives

William Song - Chef/Restaurateur, bopNgrill

Norman Yap - Actor, Chimerica

Cynthia Yeh – Percussionist, Chicago Symphony Orchestra
