On behalf of more than 600,000 Asian Americans in the greater Chicagoland area, we are pleased to announce that the planning for the 2019 Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC) Lunar New Year Gala is underway.
The Filipino American Community is proud to host this year’s event. Aurora Abella-Austriaco, partner at Valentine, Austriaco & Bueschel; Past President of the Chicago Bar Association, Past President of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers' Association and NAAAP Nationa Board Member, will serve as Chair of the AACC Lunar New Year Gala.
This black-tie event is the largest annual celebration for the Asian American community in the Midwest. The event is attended by over 1200 Asian American community and business leaders, representing over 300 Asian American organizations, corporate management and elected officials.
The Asian American Coalition of Chicago represents Asian American communities from the Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Bangladeshi, Burmese, Cambodian, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Laotian, Malaysian, Nepalese, Sri Lankan, Thai, and Vietnamese communities. Every year, the Asian American Coalition of Chicago hosts a celebration for the Lunar New Year and this is its 36th year of celebration.
