Event Date: May 7, 2024 4-5PM

Have you ever connected with a certain animal or found yourself doodling the same character over and over?

Symbols and mascots are rich in Chicago's art scene, along with using everyday objects like cardboard as canvases. Drop in and learn about visual artists who draw from repeating symbols and create your own piece of art with InsomniaBirdArt! (Feel free to bring your own canvas if you have something in mind; see below for ideas.)

  • Sturdy cardboard boxes (shoe box, board game box, jewelry box)
  • Skateboard
  • Journal or Sketchbook with blank cover
  • Glass containers

For kids 6 to 13.
