SYNOPSIS:

Mancer, played by Ng Siu Hin, is a stressed out young man forced into being the full time caregiver for his intellectually disabled father after his mother fled. One day, Mancer joins a stand-up comedy competition for the prize money and discovers a new joy in making people laugh. Perhaps misery can be the best source of comedy after all.

Featuring a powerful performance by esteemed actor Ben Yuen, as Mancer’s father, STAND UP STORY is a touching film about family, finding your purpose and how one’s perspective on life can be transformed by embracing the lessons behind life’s challenges.
