10:30am Saturday June 10, meet at the Newberry Library (60 W Walton St, Chicago, IL 60610) for a one-hour tour of this landmark building's history, art and core collections including genealogy and local history. At 11:30am, meet with the Newberry Library's Curator of Genealogy and Local History to learn about using the Newberry to research your own family history, including their collection of Chicago-related Japanese material.

12:30 Meet in Washington Square Park, located in front of the Newberry for a bento box lunch by Ringo Japanese Restaurant and ginger yuzu mocktails while we join Kelly Fumiko Weiss to discuss her book.
