Twenty-five years ago, a Taiwanese-American scientist was accused of espionage, held in solitary confinement, and called a traitor. The case then fell apart and led to a rare apology by a federal judge to a criminal defendant. AABA will discuss the case and re-enact parts of this major case in Asian-American legal history which offers valuable lessons for our time.
