Director/Screenwriter: Lloyd Lee Choi

Starring: Chang Chen, Fala Chen, Carebelle Manna Wei

Film Source: WMW Independent /The Festival Agency

Lu, a delivery rider in New York City, is about to have the unluckiest day of his life: his rent for an apartment and delivery bike are stolen just before his family are due to arrive in the US. With only one day to go, Lu goes on a desperate journey to recover his loss.

This somber immigrant story is a modern take on Italian classic Bicycle Thieves, proving that its messages about poverty and the brutality of capitalism are as relevant as ever. Chang Chen, who won Best Actor at the Golden Horse Awards for this performance, is heartbreaking as a man who is grasping for respite in a cruel world.
