Donald Hyun Kiolbassa is an Illinois licensed Attorney and CPA with a focus on Real Estate Law, Corporate Law, Estate Planning, and Tax Law. Over the past 14 years as an attorney, Donald has managed thousands of Commercial and Residential Real Estate transactions. Sue Penway, J.D., C.P.A.

Susan is an attorney and CPA and also secured her Master of Laws in Taxation. She is licensed to practice in U.S. Tax Court. Susan Penway was Senior Manager for Crowe LLP and Managing Director for MTS Consulting, LLC recently. Susan has focused her extensive career on the field of taxation. She has worked as Director of Tax for several multinational corporations such as Solo Cup, Navistar, McKesson, Sears Roebuck, Office Depot, Unisys, and GATX, and also worked in tax consulting for KPMG. Her strengths cover many fields of taxation including federal, state income, sales and use, utility, property, and international tax, as well as business incentives and tax credits. Susan has successfully implemented restructurings related to existing or newly acquired operations, as well as reverse audits in the income and sales and use areas. She also has successfully negotiated incentive packages for new or expansion operations, and successfully negotiated settlements in over 500 tax controversies. Susan is strong in tax provision work and Sarbanes Oxley processes. She has also been successful at reengineering processes in several of the companies she worked for.

In recognition of her leadership abilities, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom appointed Susan to the Board of Directors of the Workforce Investment Board and Private Industry Council of San Francisco where she was instrumental in retraining displaced workers. Susan is very involved with volunteerism in the community, including food pantries and soup kitchens.

Dr. Karen Eng - Chair, National ACE Board & CEO- CSMI

Dr. Karen Eng is the President and CEO of CSMI, an engineering firm. Initially a successful optometrist with a Doctorate from the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Eng surprised her family with her bold decision to switch careers and industries, and take over the family business.

She was committed to taking the company to the next level and expand it on a global scale. Her close work with the Food Drug Administration, MBDA, the International Trade Administration, and the Export-Import Bank of the United States has led CSMI to be one of the top engineering consulting services firm in both domestic and foreign markets.

Dr. Eng has used her professional success to support, promote, and mentor other girls, women, and minority business owners, particularly those in STEM-related industries. Thomas Choi - Small Business Development Center Manager , Chinese Mutual Aid Association

Thomas Choi is the Illinois Small Business Development Center (ILSBDC) Manager at Chinese Mutual Aid Association. ILSBDCs are located throughout the state and provide business guidance, training and other resources to start-ups and existing small businesses. Prior to joining CMAA, Tommy served his home state of Illinois for three statewide constitutional officers and two members of the United States Congress. He managed strategic external relations to constituents, nonprofit organizations, business groups, government entities, and global engagements with international partners. Tommy earned his bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Political Science at the University of Miami in Florida. He enjoys volunteering for the North Shore Edge Youth Wrestling Club and is a retired violinist.
