Event Date: October 17, 2026 (2PM)

Join us for an interactive Improv & Mental Health workshop exploring the ways improvisation can offer  tools for communication, confidence-building, and mental well-being.

Led by Ken Kikuchi, PsyD and Jin Kim, this session introduces participants to improv and its connection to mental health. Through improv exercises, participants will practice expressing themselves, thinking in the moment, and exploring different approaches to communication. Participants will also consider how the skills used in improv can apply to everyday conversations and relationships.

No acting or improv experience is required! Come ready to learn about improv and its therapeutic benefits, connect with others, and step outside your comfort zone in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Ken Kikuchi, PsyD iis a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois and a PSYPACT member. He holds a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) and serves as the Clinical Director of Kenko Interventions, where he provides culturally sensitive and affirming mental health services. In addition to his clinical work, Ken is an award-winning, tenured professor in higher education. He is deeply committed to community service and finds his volunteer and pro bono work with AANHPI and BIPOC populations to be among the most meaningful aspects of his professional life.
