Written by Aisha Hamid and directed by Alex Mallory, the play "GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS!" follows five Pakistani mothers in their late sixties who enter group therapy to explore their inner children while mourning and celebrating girlhood, womanhood, and motherhood.
About
Five Pakistani mothers in their late 60s go to group therapy for the first time in their lives. They play South Asian childhood games to connect with their inner child at a young therapist's office which is a playground. This play is a collective mourning and celebration of girlhood, womanhood and motherhood, asking: How do we continue to live when the most important parts of our lives are over? What do we do in the absence of the thing that defines us?
