‍Karen Iwata is an actress and former member of the Japanese idol group AKB48. Born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, she gained extensive experience in singing, dancing, and performing for large audiences through her time with AKB48. She later transitioned into acting and was cast in the Asian original production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She is now based in New York City, continuing her career as a bilingual Japanese-English performer.
