Let's gather again in a modern fiesta of Fil-Am and AAPI food, art, and culture as communities. Get ready to bask in a one-of-a-kind fun for Manila Zoo's 2nd year in Chicago!

Manila Zoo is a modern fiesta hosted by Project Barkada celebrating culture. It is crafted as a reflection of the Asian-Filipinx community sharing it’s spirit through food and entertainment to others in a collaborative space.

In 2020, Project Barkada had hosted numerous successful local markets leading to it’s first Manila Zoo in 2021 attracting 5K attendees in a one-day event located in Queens, New York. In the following year, Manila Zoo Chicagoland was put into test bringing yet another 9K attendees for a 2-day event.

In three short years, Project Barkada, independently-funded, has created a legacy in bringing people together in the AAPI community. It has inspired multiple local markets and has grown itself to host one of Asian-American’s most anticipated events showcasing new and established chefs, artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives.
