Melanated and Animated – Blacks and Asians in Anime and Manga

6:30 Doors / 6:45 Talk, Panel, Q&A / 8:15pm Social

Join us at Restoried Bookshop for Melanated and Animated — a panel discussion on exploring the ways in which Black and Japanese cultures have influenced each other.

This Spotlight focuses on Black and Asian cultural dialogue through manga, anime, and fiction. This event brings together a diverse group of local guests for a lecture, panel discussion, and Q&A. We’ll tackle the characters, collaborations, cross-cultural connections that underpin the stories and communities we love.
