Event Date: August 29, 2026 (12PM)

Musika SamaSama Filipino Festival is Chicago’s only Filipino cultural festival presented by the Chicago Park District — and it’s completely free. On Saturday, August 29, Eugene Field Park transforms into an all-afternoon music experience that takes you through the whole Filipino music story: classical compositions, harana love songs, OPM, spoken word, DJ sets, and a crew dance showdown that brings the energy of a live competition to the stage.

SamaSama Project headlines with a live set drawn from The Great Filipino Songbook, showcasing iconic Filipino songs reimagined for right now. Filipino food and cultural vendors round out the afternoon, giving you the full picture of a community and its culture — not just a performance.

Whether you grew up with OPM on in the background or you’re discovering Filipino music for the first time, there’s a moment in this festival made for you.
