Asian Americans aren't supposed to fail. We're expected to be fully realized and excellent at everything we do. Remember when an A- grade was an "Asian F"?
Welcome to the inaugural "Permission to Fail" Artist Salon!
Asian American Arts Chicago presents a showcase of Chicago-based Asian American artists and performers presenting new works in this quarterly artist salon/workshop.
Inspired by French artist salons, "Permission to Fail" is a show of unfinished works and performances from local artists in film, sculpture, dance, theatre, fine art, and more.
Be prepared to be an active audience member and, if the artists request, give feedback on their work-in-progress. Be a part of history at this first ever of its kind Asian American artists' salon at Chicago's world class venue, Lookingglass Theatre Company in the historic Water Tower Water Works.
