After passing the Illinois Gambling Act that expands gambling in Illinois, a proposed Chicago casino is underway. Mayor Lightfoot has identified four proposed locations, three of which are in the Southside and one is right south of Downtown. Thus, CBCAC is hosting a Civic Round Table Discussion about the Proposed Casino in Chicago.
We will have different stakeholders with diverse opinions to come together to engage in respectful conversation about the proposed casino sites in Chicago and their impact on our communities. There will be an environment where all opinions can be heard and openly discussed.

Come collaborate with other stakeholders–from community members to politicians–to identify key recommendations the casino decision-makers need to consider.
Hear from experts with different perspectives from community health, economic development, and community leadership, speak about the impact of casinos
Join us in making sure our voices are heard and our communities are considered.

Panelists: Anita Pindiur, Executive Director at The Way Back Inn;  Dr. Karen Eng, Managing Director/CEO at Diversity Gaming Solutions;  C.W. Chan, Founder at Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community.
