This program, presented through the Chicago Park District’s “Night Out in the Parks” initiative, brings side-by-side symphonic concerts to Chicago parks in local communities. Students and community members are invited to bring their instruments and collaborate with Chicago Philharmonic musicians in rehearsing and performing free concerts for members of the community and the general public. Since the initiative launched in 2015, Side by Side with the Chicago Philharmonic has presented concerts in 8 beautiful Chicago Parks. On July 23, they will be at Ping Tom Memorial Park (300 W 19th St.)
3:00PM – 5:00PM open rehearsal (free!)
6:00PM concert (free!)

Side by Side with the Chicago Philharmonic is a concert for music lovers of all ages. Bring a camping chair or blanket!
