About Stir Friday Night
Stir-Friday Night is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theater company that was founded in 1995. Based in Chicago, Illinois, theyare one of the nation’s premier Asian-American comedy troupes. Having worked with such renowned companies such as The Second City and iO (formerly known as Improv Olympic), Stir-Friday Night has become a fixture in Chicago’s comedy scene.
As an ensemble of Asian-American actors/writers, they travel the nation performing improv and sketch shows that educate all audiences, from an Asian-American perspective. Their diverse cast keeps audiences laughing while delivering messages with which they can identify.
Recent show highlights include: Boom Chicago Comedy Festival in Amsterdam, Baltimore Improv Festival and iO Fest.
Notable alumni include: Steven Yeun from The Walking Dead, Danny Pudi from Community, and Mary Sohn from AP Bio.
