Event Date: November 30, 2025 2:00PM – 3:30PM

Join US-based Chinese Artist Liping Zhang to learn traditional Chinese painting. Liping Zhang, whose works spanning flowers, birds, landscapes, figures, and multiple calligraphic scripts—have been exhibited in China and abroad, and she has taught at Xilin Art Academy and Intercultural Montessori Language School. This workshop's theme will be: Fish – Abundance Year After Year.
As 2025 draws to a close, we are dedicating this special year-end workshop to the theme of fish, symbolizing prosperity and abundance in Chinese culture. The word fish (“yu”) shares the same pronunciation as abundance, and the blessing “Abundance Year After Year” (年年有余) expresses wishes for joy, fortune, and fulfillment.
This Chinese painting workshop will take “fish” as its central theme, guiding participants to explore the unique brushwork and composition techniques of traditional ink painting. Through expressive strokes, ink tones, and shading, you will experience how Chinese painting emphasizes capturing the spirit beyond the form.
Whether you are a beginner or already have some painting experience, this class will provide both artistic inspiration and the joy of cultural expression.
Space is limited. Registration is required.
For Adults ages 18 and up.
