Stir Friday Night is the longest running Asian American comedy troupe with nearly three decades of existence that includes notable alumni such as Steven Yeun and Danny Pudi.
We’ll demonstrate different dances including the use of instruments such as the Ipu-heke (double headed gourd), ili ili (river rocks), Puili (bamboo rattle), and Uli Uli (feather gourd) and then have time for group participation.
This year’s event will highlight the powerful stories of Sikh Americans from the Midwest, and feature the talented individuals and groups shaping the future of our community’s representation through art, entertainment, and culture.
Join us in a creative healing space Saturday, May 10th from 5-7pm at Amber Agave in Wicker Park. This free workshop will introduce you to therapeutic art and writing with facilitators Elizabeth Yoo-lae Cho, MA, ATR-P and Mrinal Gokhale.
