Filipino Young Leaders Program Seeks Nominations For Secretary and Board of Directors and Committee Volunteers

The Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) is seeking nominations for its Secretary and Board members as part of its 2021-2022 leadership team. 

FYLPRO, which was established in 2012, has 84 alumni across the country and in the Philippines is a network of high performing, next-generation leaders who advance the Philippines and the  Filipino people through their advocacy and expertise in various industries. 

We continually expand the pipeline of Filipino young leaders in the diaspora.  By connecting them to the motherland, we foster collaborative multinational  relationships that create innovations and support the socio-economic progress of the global Filipino community.

FYLPRO has an exciting year ahead so it’s not too late to get involved and serve our global community.

Timeline:

• Nominations for BOD and Secretary positions: Week of Feb. 1
• Board reviews nominations: Week of Feb. 8 
• Board announces new board: week of February 15

Board Secretary expectations:

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the Board; sign documents, such as resolutions, authorized by the Board to be executed. The Secretary shall also perform all other duties assigned by the President. The Secretary is a member of the Executive Committee and is expected to participate in Give-Get policy. ($1,000 with 50% of this amount able to be fulfilled through in-kind donations/sponsorships.)

Time commitment: Monthly meetings, Weekly ECOM check ins

Term: 2 Years

Board of Directors expectations:

A Board of Director is responsible for evaluating policy and operational decisions, setting up infrastructure, fulfilling their fiduciary duty, to enforce the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. A Board of Director is responsible for the financial condition of the Corporation and may engage in programs to raise operational funds and is expected to participate in Give-Get policy. ($1,000 with 50% of this amount able to be fulfilled through in-kind donations/sponsorships.)

Time commitment: Monthly meetings

Term: 1 Year
