Dr. Asha Rao OTD, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist and early intervention provider. She supports the needs of families and caregivers of children who are ages 0-3 with disabilities and developmental delays.

Rao's background includes clinical pediatric practice, research, teaching, and community building. She has also recreated Mixing Up Masti, a community building drinking game that emphasizes non-alcoholic use to echo social and cultural inclusion.

Rao's latest venture is the launch of The Chicago Kasam Inc.- a non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status that is aimed at fostering authentic connection across communities within the South Asian diaspora in the context of the Chicagoland area. By igniting the collaboration between activists, builders, and creators in the South Asian context, Rao hopes that creators and professionals will more frequently uplift one another & then connect with other diasporic communities adjacent to our lived experiences and identities such as Black/African American groups, Latinx/Hispanic groups, LGBTQ+ groups and more.
