The Asian Giving Circle (AGC) is a grassroots initiative in Chicago’s philanthropic landscape, empowering Asian and Pacific Islander (API) led/focused nonprofits through strategic funding. Since its founding in 2002, AGC has mobilized more than $800,000 from individual donors and organizations, supporting nonprofits that drive social justice and community impact. In 2025, AGC is once again opening its grantmaking process, inviting API-led/focused nonprofits to apply for funding.
Key Focus Areas:
AGC's Commitment to Equity
AGC believes in philanthropy as a transformative act for both the individual and the community. The circle prioritizes organizations that center API voices, address community gaps, and uplift historically marginalized and underserved groups.
Grantmaking in 2025
For our 2025 Request For Proposals , AGC will award ten $10,000 general operating grants to API-serving organizations in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Applicants must complete their submissions via CCT’s GrantCentral by June 17, 2025, with awards announced in September. A recorded info session will also guide prospective applicants through the process. You can access all of these through our website.
