This year's convention has seen unprecedented representation, reflecting a broader and more inclusive approach within the Democratic Party. Compounded with the high-profile representation of a South Asian American and Black Democratic candidate for the President of the United States, Asian American identity is prominently on the minds of Americans.

Part of demonstrating these efforts is the implementation of policies, programs, and advocacies that were designed to answer some of the community’s pressing issues like alleviating poverty and inequality.
